Transformative Climate Communities (TCC)

WHAT

The City of Stockton subcontracted with Public Health Advocates to lead the community engagement components of the Transformative Climate Communities (TCC), Stockton Rising grant. Stockton Rising is a project in Stockton, CA that focuses on reduction of greenhouse gas emissions, improving public health and environmental benefits, expanding economic opportunity, and shared prosperity in disadvantaged communities. Our role is to connect with residents from the project area and engage them in implementing change.

HOW YOU CAN GET INVOLVED

Join the Community Coalition:

Join our bi-monthly (every other month) meetings to learn how you can get involved, share your input, and also hear updates. Join us at the Kickoff meeting November 6th. More info to come.

Serve as a Climate Leader:

A climate leader is someone who is a resident of the TCC project area and is passionate about the wellness of their community. Climate Leaders are someone that is organized, responsible, well known, and a trusted community member who is willing to learn and facilitate learning spaces for their neighborhood. Their responsibilities include attending bi-monthly trainings, helping conduct monthly neighborhood meetings, keeping neighbors informed on all Stockton Rising projects, and reporting to the Stockton Rising Community Engagement Team Lead.
